Jogging for Women Over Fifty
The older you get the more challenging it becomes tto manage your weight. For women it is more likely that they will put on the weight and do so even more when they reach menopause. Intensity
Studies have shown that women below the age of 65 years should engage in aerobic exercise that is vigorous and intense for at least 20 minutes for three week days. It is also alright to simply jog moderately for about 30 minutes three times a week.
Controlling weight
If you jog a number of days a week for up to 30 minutes your cardiovascular health will benefit but weight loss may not be promoted. For women who want to shed some weight and are in their 50’s it is advised that jogging for longer periods should offer great benefit. It is proposed that jogging for between 60 to 90 minutes is appropriate.

Healthy bones
With regular jogging, the risk of developing bone fractures for women who suffer with osteoporosis. Women over 50 are advised to do some strength training along with their regular workout routine.
